The kitchen runner that I have is Ballard Designs, and I am obsessed with them. They have these amazing runners, they’re sisal, so they’re a natural woven material. What I have in my kitchen is a diamond sisal, so it almost has an embossed pattern in it, and it’s tone on tone. It has a rubber backing, from edge to edge and side to side – plus they do. not. move. I can’t say enough about I love them, I JUST got new ones after 5 years. Make sure when you start looking at the designs that they do have the rubber backing – that’s key.

That’s a great question, I say invest in your sofa, two chairs and that’s where you should put your money, because of those are the items that you will want to hold up. Also, for this investment piece, pick something neutral because then you can start building on it. Use it as your base and then get pillows from Target or a side table from Crate + Barrel. As for the sofa, I would pick something with a really clean arm, if you’re not into fluffing cushions constantly, I wouldn’t pick a sofa that have cushions that come with – a built in back with cushion on the bottom, not something that’s too low or too high. Just do something super clean and very neutral. Same thing with your accent chair, when you want to play with color, put those in your pillows so you’re able to change them up with the season.
