Today I gave you guys a tour of my backyard – I know you guys always ask to see it! I decided now that I am planting flowers I wanted to take you guys along! Below I listed everything we started to plant and I will keep you updated.
Pine Mini Nuggets:
We usually Pine Mini Nuggets – It stays for a while and it doesn’t fade! If they have Pine mini nuggets near you I highly suggest it but if they don’t the soil conditioner is pretty dang good as well!
Sun Patients:
We bordered some of the flower beds with the sun patients and it makes everything come together and look extra beautiful!
White Mandevilla:
I love these – they are drought tolerant, they don’t mind if they get splashed with a little chlorine, and they don’t shed. They also have real longevity through the hot summer!
Asparagus fern:
They are so full and spill over so beautifully. They have a nice texture and you can’t kill them which is a plus!
A few other plants I have in my backyard right now are white hydrangea bushes, white vinca, oak leaf hydrangeas,
and variegated hosta!
A little tip…
Make sure when you shop for your outdoor containers – these are the three things you’re looking for:
Thriller:
Adds height and drama – cosmos, dahlias, asters, tall grasses
Spiller:
Trailing that spills over the edge – ivy, sweet potato vine, licorice plant, calibrachoa, sweet alyssum
Filler:
Makes your containers look full – zinnias, diamond frost, salvia, pentas, phlox
Happy gardening!
