Today I want to share my Christmas card with you guys that I made with Minted.  I love how they turned out and I truly, truly wish that I could have sent one to every single one of you guys. I can not tell you how much I appreciate and love each and every one of you. This year has been such a whirlwind and I have loved sharing it with all of you. I truly have the best readers and followers in the world, and I hope you all know how much I love and appreciate you. I will be honest, there was a point earlier this year when I almost threw in the towel on this whole thing. I was tired, frustrated and just wasn’t sure had ‘it’, and I didn’t even know what IT was? My husband told me I was at a crossroads and I needed to jump and really do this thing or close the book on this chapter of my life. It was all of you guys and the thought of leaving you that helped me make my decision to commit fully to making Living with Landyn everything I dreamed it could be.  I am so, so happy that I made this decision and that he gave me that push. These past few months have been so exciting and fun and I have ALL of you guys to thank for that. I hope you know how much I appreciate your loyalty, support, and enthusiasm. It truly inspires me and keeps me pushing forward towards my goals.  2017 is going to be awesome and I can’t wait to share it with each and every one of you.  So from the very bottom of my heart, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I am going to be taking next week off to spend some much needed down time with the family. but I will be back the first week of January with all sorts of new content, so stay tuned.

I also wanted to give a little shout out to Minted.  They were so great to work with and had wonderful customer service.  There were a couple of issues with my proofs and they were so quick to work with me to get them resolved.  I love the way that they turned out!  As a side note, I am typically a huge slacker when it comes to holiday cards.  Literally last year I sent out New Years cards and the year before that I sent out Valentine’s Day cards.  So if you are a little behind the card game, don’t worry, Minted has you covered.  They have great selection of New Year’s cards, like seriously so good!  And if you are a super-duper slacker like I was a few years ago, they have precious Valentine’s Day cards too!

And a HUGE thank you to my girl Lindsey. The girl boss behind the camera over on Lindsey Grace Photography, for always capturing me so perfectly. Like I told her when we first met…no posed model like photos for this girl. I want fun. I want you to snap my personalty, and I have to say, she’s done it perfectly. I look forward to continuing to work with her in 2017 and beyond. We have a blast and I hope it shows!

Just about the time I was about to put this little dream of having a blog to rest, I received an email from this sweet woman. It was a day I was drowning in emails + overwhelmed by a hobby turned full time job and thinking, I need a person. But, who? And all the while not wanting to let anyone help me. It’s my personalty to DO IT ALL BY MYSELF. The question was, could I continue to put out quality content, stay organized, be a good friend, keep my inbox under 250 unread emails, try that new under eye concealer, fold all the laundry, cook all the meals, be the parent volunteer, continue to build relationships with brands, find that must have white tee, be a doting wife, squeeze in a workout and get to bed before midnight? I WAS, but for how much longer?

She has been a dream and has quickly become a good friend. While I wish she lived in Nashville and could come sit across my desk daily, she’s home in Birmingham raising her two littles and working from home. She helps keep me organized and things running smoothly, and is the best for bouncing ideas off of. She’s only been on board for a little while, but I can see she’s here to stay. I’m extremely grateful she came into my life when she did. Like my mom always says, good things happen to good people. And she’s good people. Love ya, Julia! Xx

It’s a crazy thing building a brand. I found out while running myself into the ground, that you do in fact need help and I’m beyond lucky to have Julia on my team. I seriously can’t believe I hired someone?!?! I have an employee….. WHAT?!? I’m still in awe of what I’ve created and built from nothing. And like I said above, it’s all because of YOU. I mean that. THANK YOU for helping me do what I LOVE. It’s work, but it sure doesn’t feel like it.

I’m so flippin’ EXCITED for 2017. I have so many ideas and dreams. So many fun things already in the works. Like my circle necklace, and my curated home collection with Painted Fox. WHAT? I would have never dreamed. But that’s just it. We have to dream and dream big. There are so many things for me to be proud of and feel good about, but the one that really matters is…… showing my kids, my daughter especially, that if you want something bad enough and work really hard, you can do anything. I’m showing her that and she is proud of me. I haven’t worked outside the home in 12 years and I have to tell you, there’s something very empowering about being a working woman. It’s something I don’t ever remember feeling, and I like it. It feels really good. Thank you for being as excited about things as I am. Thank you for taking the time to write to me and comment. I love reading every single word. You guys crack me up. Thank you for continuing to come back to see what I’m up too and sharing me with your friends, coworkers and family.
